According to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, Dominguez Family Enterprises is recalling Juanita’s Brand “Cuernos,” “Pan Huevo,” and “Ojos” Mexican breads due to undeclared milk, soy, and wheat. Products were distributed in retail stores in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington. The products were in 6-count clear, plastic clamshell containers with a white, red, and green label and “best by” dates of 5/12/2010 though 6/05/2010. According to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, Wally’s Nut House, LLC is recalling “Tailgate Crunch Mix,” “Sweet Cajun Heat Mix,” “Country Western Mix,” “Cranberry Raisin Mix,” “Party Mix,” “Hot ‘n Spicy Mix,” and “Louisiana Cajun Mix” due to undeclared milk, soy, and wheat. The products were sold through fundraising events in Kansas and Missouri and through mail orders nationwide. The products are packaged in 16-oz. clear plastic bags with a resealable opening. The product is in 1.75-qt. containers with a “sell by” date of December 3, 2008, and codes DEC0308 8070 and DEC0308 8080. From CBC News (Ottawa, Canada): The Canadian Food Inspection and High Liner Foods are warning people with allergies to soy protein not to consume certain High Liner Haddock Breaded Fillets. They say the affected product may contain soy protein not declared on the label, and it’s being voluntarily recalled. The affected High Liner Signature Haddock Breaded Fillets are sold in 680-gram packages across the country. There have been no reported illnesses associated with consumption of the fillets.

According to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network, Bell’s Fishery is recalling “Bell’s Whitefish Pate” due to undeclared egg, soy, and milk. The product was sold in Michigan at Bell’s Fishery in Mackinac City and Biindigen Gas Station in Petoskey. The “Bell’s Whitefish Pate” comes in 8-oz. and 16-oz. plastic containers marked with lot #100607 with an expiration date of 10-20-07 or lot #100807 with an expiration date of 10-28-07. Consumers who have purchased the product are encouraged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. From Georgia’s Duluth Weekly: “Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin is alerting consumers that Morgan Foods of Austin, Indiana, is voluntarily recalling 6,317 pounds of chicken noodle soup because it contains milk and soy without listing them on the label. The soup was sold at Kroger stores. The product label indicates that the can contains chicken noodle soup. However, the can contains chicken, potato and broccoli soup with cheese.” Read more here.

From Canada’s Saskatoon Homepage.ca: “People who are allergic to soy protein are being warned by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency not to consume the Shirakiku brand Honey Panko Japanese Bread Crumbs. The affected product contains soy which is not listed on the label. The product of Japan is sold in 350 gram packages bearing the UPC: 0 74410 02520 5. The bread crumbs have been distributed in Saskatchewan, B.C., Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland. Consumption of the product may cause serious or life-threatening reactions in people with allergies to soy. So far, there have been no reported illnesses from the product.”
