The product was sold in California, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. The 1-lb. 4-oz. (or 567 grams) packages have a red band of color above the clear bag window on the front of bag and square lock tab closures in the colors and dates as follows: white tab – 6/14 or 6/21; blue tab – 6/15; tan tab – 6/17; green tab – 6/18; red tab – 6/20. According to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network: The Kroger Co. is recalling “Kroger Deluxe Chocolate Paradise Ice Cream” due to undeclared tree nuts. The product was sold in Kroger stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. It was also sold in Jay C, Food 4 Less, Hilander, Owen’s, Pay Less, and Scott’s stores in both Illinois and Indiana. From FDA.gov: DOMEGA NY INTERNATIONAL CO. LTD 4820 2nd AVE BROOKLYN NY 11232 is recalling FUMA CUSTARD PIE because it may contain undeclared eggs. Consumers who are allergic to eggs may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.  The recalled FUMA CUSTARD PIE, is packaged in a 650 gram cardboard box containing 26 individual packages, with a date code of 2010 02 04AA. It was sold in New York State. It is a product of China. The recall was initiated after routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis by food laboratory personnel revealed the presence of undeclared eggs in FUMA CUSTARD PIE in a package which did not declare eggs as an ingredient on the label. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem. Consumers who have purchases FUMA CUSTARD PIE are urged to return it to the place of purchase.  Consumers with questions may contact the company at 646-388-3032.

From WalletPop.com: Midwest grocery chain Kroger has issued a recall of some of its ice cream because the labels do not disclose the presence of tree nuts, which can cause serious, even life-threatening problems for someone who is allergic.
